Simple Ingredients
Liquid: 1 cup (240 ml) of water or sugar-free fruit juice.
Gelatin: 4 tablespoons (unflavored powder).
Protein: 1 scoop (about 30g) of your favorite powder (whey, vegan...).
Sweetener (if needed): A bit of stevia, erythritol, or honey (adjust to your taste).
(Optional: A few drops of vanilla or other flavoring)
Equipment
Small saucepan
Whisk
Silicone molds (bear shapes, squares...)
Easy Steps (7 Steps)
Mix COLD: Pour the COLD liquid into the saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin over it. Let it sit for 5 minutes (important: don't stir!).
Heat GENTLY: Put the saucepan on very low heat. Stir with the whisk just enough for the gelatin to melt and the liquid to become clear. Critically, do NOT let it boil!
Add Protein: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Pour in your scoop of protein powder. Whisk VIGOROUSLY and quickly to mix well and avoid lumps.
Sweeten/Flavor (if you want): Now is the time to add sweetener or flavoring. Mix well and taste quickly.
Fill Molds: Pour the liquid mixture into your silicone molds.
Chill: Put the molds in the refrigerator for at least 30 to 60 minutes, until the gummies are firm.
Unmold: Gently remove the gummies from the molds. Done!
Quick Tips
Whey protein (especially isolate) often mixes more easily.
For softer or firmer gummies, slightly adjust the amount of gelatin (a bit less = softer, a bit more = firmer).
Use different fruit juices to vary the flavors!
Storage
Keep them in a sealed container in the fridge. They last for about 1 week.
